Creating a Character & License

This page should be up-to-date with the most accurate information on how to create Civilian Character & License properly without issues.

(a) Creating your character:

When creating your character, please ensure all available fields are filled out, even if they are not marked as required. Providing complete information helps streamline the approval process.

You must make sure to complete the “OOC Player Information” field with your Discord Identifier. You can obtain your identifier by typing the command /identifier in any Discord channel. This step is required to properly link your character to your Discord account.

Do not upload personal or custom photos for your character in the CAD. Instead, you must visit the DMV to have an official photo taken. Once the DMV provides your photo, it will be named using the following format:

"firstname_lastname.png"

  • Do not rename the file.

  • Do not alter the file extension.

  • Only DMV-issued photos following this naming format will be accepted for upload.

(b) Creating a license:

Before creating any license, please ensure your Discord Identifier has been correctly set in your character profile.

Once your license is created, you will be pinged in with your automatically generated Driver’s License Photo Card. This image must be uploaded to your license.

Note: Uploading your license photo is mandatory. Failure to do so may result in legal consequences by the San Andreas Statutes/by law.

(c) Common/generic issues:

If your Driver’s License Photo Card appears:

  • Black:

    • This means the photo did not upload correctly. Make sure the file name is in lowercase, contains no spaces, and then re-upload it.

  • A blank generic image:

    • This means no photo has been uploaded. This is acceptable. However, you can request a photo from the DMV at any time if you'd like one added.
