Known Crashes & Bugs

This page should be up-to-date with the most commonly known crashes or bugs within the community right now. If you come across a bug or crash, please report it immediately.

(a) Discord Identifier Not Found

If you're encountering the “Identifier Not Found” error and you are absolutely certain your setup is correct, this is not an issue with the script. It is related to Discord integration with FiveM, which is still in beta and may cause problems outside of your control.

Official Statement from FiveM

"We might hit rate limits, so not all players will be identified even if they're running the Discord app client."

With the recent changes to how FiveM integrates with Discord, users are now required to grant permission for FiveM (or RedM) to access their Discord user ID. On your first time launching FiveM, you may see a prompt in the Discord app requesting authorization.

You can verify this by checking your Discord Settings > Authorized Apps to see if FiveM is listed.

Troubleshooting Steps

Follow these steps in order. Some users may need to complete more than one step to resolve the issue.

  1. Relaunch FiveM and check your Discord window for any pop-up requesting authorization.

  2. Check your Authorized Apps in Discord:

    • Go to Settings > Authorized Apps

    • If FiveM appears there, try clicking ‘Deauthorize’

    • Then relaunch FiveM

  3. Do not use Discord PTB (Public Test Build)

    • If you're not sure what this is, you're probably not using it

  4. Uninstall and reinstall Discord

  5. If the issue persists, try reinstalling all three applications:

    • FiveM

    • Grand Theft Auto V (GTAV)

    • Discord

(b) Texture Loss Issue

  1. Simply navigate to your ESC settings.

  2. Navigate to Settings.

  3. Navigate to Graphics.

  4. Then under Extended Texture Budget, turn up until your textures begin to appear.

Please be sure to look out for your Video Memory due to it possibly causing a decrease in FPS.

(c) Siren Limiter Adjuster - Access Denied

If you are currently recieving the FiveM error message:

ERROR SirenSetting_Limit_Adjuster log creation failed. Logging has been disabled. Access is denied.

Here are some steps to fix this problem:

This error tends to pop up if you own the game through Rockstar Games, not Steam.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Make sure your FiveM and any GTA V instance is closed completely, use Task Manager if you must;

  2. Navigate to where your GTA V is installed.

  3. Right click on your Grand Theft Auto V folder, right click it and hit properties. Once opened, head on over to the Security tab:

  1. Click on Edit and give all groups "Full Control"

  • You may be able to just change the Users Group to full Access. Your milage may vary!

  1. Locate your GTA.exe, Right Click it and Hit Properties. Once Opened Head to the Security Tab

  1. Click on Edit and Give all groups Full Control

You may be able to just change the Users Group to full Access. Your Milage may vary!

  1. After this it should resolve any permission issues!

Feel free to reach out with any questions!
